On the Move
This is a 1/25 R/C model assembly kit which depicts the Centurion Mk.III, a tank used by numerous militaries and forces across the world, in addition to the British Army. An assembly-type twin gearbox is installed in the hull rear. Its dual Type 130 motors are controlled via the MC-07 control unit, allowing a range of speeds and turning circles, even pivots. Realistic motion is enhanced by movable Horstmann suspension featuring metal coil springs, while tracks come pre-assembled. No less than four marking options are included in the kit.
Serving with Distinction Developed to meet the ever-improving threat of German armor, the Centurion evolved into the British main battle tank in the post-WWII era. The Mk.III was perhaps the most polished Centurion variant, upgunned with the powerful 20 pounder gun; it was deployed in the Korean War, and was regarded by many as the lynchpin of the Allied forces on the peninsula. Some 2,800 Mk.III Centurions were produced between 1948 and 1956. Deployed not just by Britain but also by clients such as India, Israel and Egypt, they were a formidable force in whatever military’s colors they were used. |
This kit takes the classic 1/25 scale Centurion Mk.III model from 1973 and turns it into an all-action R/C model! Even better, the kit features parts to render the turret controllable, too. The Centurion was developed by the British toward the end of WWII, and received a number of upgrades during its post-war service as the main British tank. The Mk. III featured a powerful 20-pounder main gun, and gained recognition for its service in the Korean War. With around 2,800 examples rolling off of the production line between 1948 and 1956, it was the most produced tank of the Centurion series.
